Austrian ski resorts offer well laid out slopes with fantastic facilities and modern lift systems. Snow is generally reliable and there's often sweeping runs and powder chutes during good snow. The most widely spoken language is German, but if you have been for skiing holidays in Austria before, most people speak at least a bit of English.
Many ski resorts in Austria are located at mid-altitude, so the snow can be a bit patchy sometimes. Some resorts may not be challenging enough for advanced skiers, but the facilities for beginners are usually good.
