Where
Nestled amidst fairy tale forests, ski Serfaus in order to get some of the best in a traditional Tyrolean winter holiday. Amidst alpine pastures and high mountains you'll find plenty of skiing and snowboarding in this Austrian resort and it's linked neighbours. Getting here is not so difficult if you are able to fly into Innsbruck as it's just over an hour away. If you don't mind a longer transfer, you can use airports like Zurich, Bolzano and Friedrichshafen that come in around the 2.5 hours.
On the slopes
Ski Serfaus this winter and there's 71 different pistes providing over 180 kms of good skiing and snowboarding. The pistest are divided between intermediate and advanced quite nicely but there's very few 'beginner slopes' and not too much expert on piste either. Off piste opportunities are abound throughout the ski area, so that makes up for those who love powder and off piste action. Boarders and freestyle skiers will find a snow park with half pipe to keep them happy, and for families there is a ski school and a crèche. If you prefer cross country, ther's a lot of really well maintained tracks totalling so 132km of trails for those who prefer their skiing to be a little slower.

Off the slopes
A small and traditional alpine town in the heart of the Austrian Alps the Serfaus area has colourful Alpine pastures, fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery. The ski resort offers an attractive mix of old wooden farmhouses and ancient buildings mixed with modern architecture. There are 25 mountain restaurants to choose from, offering both traditional Tyrolean food, as well as popular international fare. As with most Austrian resorts, the après-ski is good and here is no exception - you'll find plenty of bars and clubs open till late, or it you fancy a change of scene, options include bowling, swimming pool, ice rink, paragliding, hang gliding, and some delightful walking trails.
