This winter, ski Kirchberg and get access to some of the world's most famous slopes as well as enjoying the best of the Tirol including the delights of picturesque ski resorts with some unbelieveble skiing & snowboarding and some great après-ski to finish the day.

Where?

Ski Kirchberg and get the best of both worlds. A lovely picturesque town with its own lifts and pistes and also access to the renowned Kitzbühel Ski Circus, with 160km of piste which includes the world famous Hahnenkamm downhill run. Only 6km away Kitzbühel also offers you direct access to the SkiWelt. You can reach Kirchberg in Tirol easiest from Innsbruck, however Salzburg or Munich are also well under two hours for transfers.

On the slopes

Offering a taste of Austrian ski resorts at its best, ski holidays in Kirchberg ski resort cater for everyone. Beginners will find the nursery slopes of Gaisberg offer a perfect introduction to the sport, while intermediates will enjoy local slopes as well as exploring the 160km of terrain in the Kitzbuheler Alpen. For advanced skiers the ultimate challenge is the world famous Hahnenkamm run, rated as the world's most difficult downhill. Boarders will be happy too, with a half pipe on the Kitzbüheler Horn, snow parks in Kitzbühel, and lots of challenging off piste across the ski area.

Ski area

If you ski Kirchberg, despite being just 6km from Kitzbühel, you are connected directly to the ski region of SkiWelt.

Off the slopes

The après ski is simply terrific in Kirchberg. There is a great selection of restaurants - you can try local favourites like Sauerkraut, or more international options such as the popular tortillas at La Bamba. There are also plenty of bars to choose from, as well as some quieter cafés. Away from the slopes you can relax with a swim or go to the gym, go bowling, or explore the miles of walking trails. This resort offers a lot - although as a young family we wouldn't recommend it to you.

WE LIKE

  • Good skiing for intermediates & beginners
  • Attractive, and even romantic, resort and close to Kitzbühel
  • Great après-ski in Kirchberg - not to mention access to it's illustrious neighbour

WE DON'T LIKE

  • Lifts often get crowded - especially after lunch
  • Not the easiest or best place for a young family holidays - although still a great place to come
  • The cable gondola at Klausen is 5 mins bus ride - which takes you to Fleckalm at 1840m
