Ski Kappl for high altitude pistes that guarantee snow. For a family ski holiday. With its specially designed adventure park for young children, 40km of pistes including learner slopes (as well as a 1500m vertical) - something for everyone!
Where
If you ski Kappl, you are will be located in Austria's Tyrol Paznaun area in a small tradtional alpine village. Great for families this is a family-friendly ski resort, with around 40km of local piste. It is very easily reached from a variety of airports - with Innsbruck just an hour away being the most popular airport thanks to the short transfer times.
On the slopes
A small traditional rural resort, ski Kappl and you will be just a 10-minute bus ride down the valley from Ischgl. With some great skiing in a family friendly resort, the resort is at 1,200m and has 9 lifts taking skiers up as high as 2,700m locally. Definitely a beginner/intermediate resort, the pistes are well groomed and wide and offer few serious challenges which is great for timid or learning skiers and boarders.
The resort is in a stunning location, which also catches it's fair share of sunny days. Snowboarders are able to revel in the largest snow park in Europe - there were at last count more than 30 obstacles for each ability level and a huge halfpipe to keep freestylers happy. The pistes are well sign posted and are also very easy to navigate your way around - a great destination backed up by the Silvretta Arena lift pass.
Ski area :
If you ski Kappl you are also in the ski region of Silvretta Arena along with the following resorts; silvretta.
Off the slopes
We think Kappl is a great resort for families as there's a range of accommodation in town for all tastes and price ranges and this is not a big party town. When you are on the slopes you will find 4 mountain restaurants offering everything from drinks and snacks to 3 course lunches, and a selection of restaurants in town serving both traditional and international dishes. Other activities available include ski hiking, snowboarding and cross country skiing.
