If you're going to ski St Jean d'Aulps, your local skiing and snowboarding area is split into two areas, the Domaine Chevrerie and Domaine Grande. ABove all you are in the massive Portes du Soleil ski area with over 650km of pistes spread across a number of linked resorts like Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz. Access is very easy via Geneva and the péage toll roads - which take less than one hour on a good day.

On the slopes

Set in a wild forested area, ski St Jean d'Aulps ski resort offer almost unlimited skiing possibilities as part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area - over 650km of piste to choose from! The lifts carry you from the resort at 1100m up to a high of 2400m, and you can choose to ski at other local areas including Abondance , Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz.

With plenty of pistes for all levels and some challenging off-piste for the more adventurous - a great place to go skiing and snowboarding in France. There's also some great tree-lined runs that provide some good cover if the winds or snow start falling.

Off the slopes

If you choose to ski St Jean d'Aulps you won't need to travel far for a good night out. La Grande Terche has some great little child-friendly restaurants and bars that serve traditional dishes such as fondue or pizza's and curries. There's also a supermarket, cash point, post office and Tourist Office on hand. Aprés-ski, if required, is relaxed and friendly and reasonably priced and Morzine is on your doorstep too!
