On the slopes
You can ski Abondance ski resort itself and still get something for everyone. Abondance has its own small ski area, with about 17km of slopes that are best for beginners and intermnediates. The real draw is the regular bus service which links to the "Portes du Soleil" ski area - whilst you remain in a traditional and charming small Haute Savoie village. The ski region spreads across 14 valleys and over 400 square miles, with 230 lifts servicing 650 km of piste. This includes the resorts of Avoriaz, Châtel, Morzine, Les Gets, and Torgan. With this much terrain there are choices for skiers and boarders of all abilities.

Off the slopes
The pretty Savoie village of Abondance offers much for the visitor. You can visit the beautiful abbey, which includes a church, cloisters and religious art museum, or the Maison du Val, the valley's heritage centre. There are also some marked snowshoe paths, and around 10 km of cross-country ski tracks. Children will be happy with the three playgrounds, and there is a selection of restaurants ranging from traditional Savoie to popular international choices.
