Where
Ski Panorama and get great snow - almost guaranteed! One of the most popular resorts in Eastern British Columbia for skiing and snowboarding in Canada, this is a quiet, car-free village just 2 hours drive from Banff. Calgary airport is 4 hours away. The resort has 120 trails with 1,140 hectares of terrain, and you can fly into Calgary airport and be here within 3 hours.
On the slopes
Ski Panorama and enjoy the best of Canadian skiing and snowboarding with the Canadian Rockies Super Pass. Ski holidays in Panorama open up eight other resorts, including Banff/Lake Louise, Fernie, Nakiska, Kimberley and Fortress Mountain. You'll find a high percentage of intermediate, advanced and expert runs, including off-piste playgrounds like Taynton Bowl, with 1,000 acres of chutes, gullies and tricky tree-skiing. Snowboarders will find two terrain parks and a half-pipe to whet their appetites.
Panorama is also part pof the Canadian Rockies Super Pass Ski Area - so you can use the pistes in Fernie, Kimberley, Lake Louise, Mount Norquay and Sunshine Village-Banff.
Off the slopes
The Panorama ski resort is spilt into two villages - the "upper village", at the foot of the slopes, with plenty of ski-in ski-out accommodation, and the "lower village". It's a quiet, friendly place, with a limited variety of restaurants, bars and clubs, and prices can be high by North American standards. Recommended restaurants include The Summit Hut, which has great views, or the Beckie Scott Nordic Centre, with its lunchtime BBQ. The recently completed water park offers an alternative source of fun.
