On the slopes

Ski Lake louise and you have the Banff National Park mountains and weather ensuring dry powder, fantastic off-piste conditions as well as the well-groomed immaculate slopes hosting all levels of skiers and boarders. With special features like four faces on three peaks and 4000+ acres of skiable terrain it's in a class of it's own. The back open bowls are especially inviting.

When you ski Lake Louise you'll see that it's a destination for families and groups with different ability levels. The vast terrain provides plenty of fun and challenge from steep terrain, through to groomed intermediate runs, alpine bowls, moguls, a fun park and the Purple Bowl for some extreme off-piste that both boarders and skiers wake up for! Ski schools & private instruction is second to none - what are you waiting for?

Off the slopes

With accommodation including some of the most luxurious hotels, ski holidays in Lake Louise also offer great restaurants, après-ski and of course nightlife (although not the most rowdy!!) There's always a lot happening for non-skiers including dog sledding, ice-fishing, curling, hot springs and for skiers - there's heli-skiing too. With great childcare facilities as well as on-piste tuition - this is a must for family skiing holidays also.

WE LIKE

  • Spectacular high-mountain scenery - the best of any North American resort
  • Slopes are the largest in the Canadian Rockies with amazing terrain for everyone
  • Snowy slopes of Sunshine Village within reach for variety or more challenges

WE DON'T LIKE

  • Local slopes are a short drive away from the 'village', Banff areas further
  • Snowfall modest by local standards - but you still get powder and regular snow during season
  • Can be very cold and the chair-lifts have no covers, but the Grizzly Express gondola is warmer
