Where
When you ski Zermatt, the ski resort gives you the chance to ski the Klein Matterhorn (3899m), one of the largest glaciers in Europe. There are links to the Italian resorts of Cervinia and Valtourneche just across the border, so there are plenty of choices for you to ski and snowboard here. Access is via Sion and Geneva airports and the roads are pretty good for access.
On the slopes
Ski holidays in Zermatt offer something for all levels of skier and boarder with several snow parks such as the year-round Gravity Park, and plenty of great off-piste for freeriders. Intermediates will enjoy a range of scenic slopes with views across to the Matterhorn, and the long intermediate run into Cervinia is a great way to work up an appetite for a good Italian lunch. Experienced skiers and riders head for the Trockener Steg - Klein Matterhorn - Schwarzsee sector. All round skiing and boarding for everyone.
