If you ski Narvik, as with many Norwegian ski resorts, you will be in a small village. Based right up in the North, it's best suited for intermediates abd you are almost guaranteed snow throughout the season - as well as a big vertical drop!
Where
Ski Narvik and you are just an hour away from Harstad / Narvik airports in the far North of Norway. Best suited for intermediates - beginners will find little to do in this small resort as the pistes are reasonably step and technical. Not the largest ski resort in terms of pistes, if you want to ski and snowboard in Norway this is a great little resort to get away from the masses.
On the slopes
With just 5 lifts serving 12 pistes, ski Narvik for 11 kilometers of piste with an impressive 875 metres of vertical descent. The slopes are split almost evenly between intermediates and advanced skiers and boarders, with just 5% rated beginner. Snowmaking covers about one quarter of the pistes to supplement the natural snowfall. Not the largest of resorts - but the pistes are good.
Off the slopes
You'll find accommodation close to the pistes in Narvik, and there are 12 kilometers of cross-country trails if you want to get to know the area at a gentle pace. With regards to the bars and restaurants, there are a few with good beer and food - and it is expensive to eat and drink out in Norway. However, due to size this is not a massive party town.
