Where
The Geilo ski resort is located in-between the Norwegian city's of Oslo and Begern and conveniently has its own airport approximately 20 minutes away. If you ski Geilo, then there's no necessity to hire a car as a taxi transfer is suitable for travel and there are shuttle bus' around the local village.

On the slopes
The second largest resort in Norway, ski Geilo for plenty to do on the slopes for beginners and advanced skiers with 38 runs of which there are 16 beginners' runs, 17 intermediate runs, and five expert runs. Due its altitude and location snow is always a guaranteed at the Geilo ski resort so if you plan your holiday during the season you can count on having the right climate to try out the 28km of pistes.
While skiing you may even happen upon the Norwegian alpine ski team as these slopes are their training ground. With many ski instructors versed in English it is an excellent place for families and ski novices who are willing and ready to touch up their sport. For snowboarders the two snowboard parks will make the holiday enjoyable as well as the 2km run for high speed enthusiasts.
Off the slopes
The après ski is not too vibrant until the weekend but there is plenty to do around the Geilo ski resort to keep you busy during your ski holiday. The town itself is split into three parts with many local restaurants and bars with a quaint design that will make you feel like you are in a wonderland during the winter season.
The resort shuttle bus will take you around town to any shops you want to visit or you may want to check out the many activities around the resort. For true relaxation, you can rest your sore muscles at the outdoor heated pool, the indoor pool, or hit the gym. Plus, if you want an excursion of the slopes you may try out the ice rink, snowshoeing, or cinema.
