Off the slopes

The après ski is not too vibrant until the weekend but there is plenty to do around the Geilo ski resort to keep you busy during your ski holiday. The resort shuttle bus will take you around town to any shops you want to visit or you may want to check out the many activities around the resort. For true relaxation, you can rest your sore muscles at the outdoor heated pool, the indoor pool, or hit the gym. Plus, if you want an excursion of the slopes you may try out the ice rink, snowshoeing, or cinema.

WE LIKE

  • Good spread of slopes for all standards of skiers and boarders
  • Airport only 20 minutes away after short internal flight
  • Particularly well set up for families and children

WE DON'T LIKE

  • No out and out expert terrain - but some good challenging reds
  • Not the best nightlife - but adequate when this is predominantly a family resort
  • The cold - but then you wrap up warm with thermals in Jan and Feb
