Who will enjoy?
If you ski Croatia, ski resorts are suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities and also both young and older skiers that are looking for a relaxing and outdoor holiday.
How many destinations?
Mount Sljeme, which is just outside Zagreb, is the most conveniently located Croatian ski resort. The area usually has snow for about three months of the year, with skiing opportunities for experts and learners.
The Croatian Olympic Centre at Bjelolasica is the largest ski resort in Croatia, offering snowboarding, cross-country skiing and skiing lessons. However, before booking your ski holiday you should bear in mind that the snow in this area is unreliable and the resort sometimes has to use artificial snow.
The resort of Platak has benefited from a wave of investment that has resulted in modern equipment and facilities. The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.
Accommodation?
It's still one of the cheapest countries in the Mediterranean and the quality of the food and accommodation has improved greatly in recent years.
