Off the slopes

Accommodation for Castle Mountain is available in Pincher creek at a selection of cabins, hotels, B&Bs, motels, guesthouses, and hostels. The après-ski is lively - without being rowdy, with a wide selection of bars available. Eating out is as you would expect from a Canadian Resort - varied and plentiful.

WE LIKE

  • The powder here is light and fluffy and is seen throughout the season - perfect!
  • Great selection of runs at all levels - especially intermediate and advanced.
  • Tree-lined runs are great when weather does close in and winds get up

WE DON'T LIKE

  • Lifts can get closed easily due to high winds - which halves the runs you can do
  • Lift system quite old and creaks when the conditions are good for a weekend
  • Lots of good resorts closer to Calgary if they catch your fancy!
