Where
You can ski Mammoth in less than six hours from Los Angeles. Located up in the Sierra Nevada mountains, ski holidays allow you to enjoy sunshine and snow in a fantastic setting. As you might expect from the name, this is a big fully furnished resort, with over 150 slopes to choose from and a long, reliable season. It's also relatively simple to get to.

On the slopes
Ski Mammoth Mountain and your ski holidays will be all about choice. There are 28 lifts (including nine high-speed) serving 150 trails, with a longest trail of almost five kilometres. There's good variety with around 25 per cent of the trails for beginners, 40 per cent intermediates, 20 per cent advanced and 15 per cent expert. Snowboarders can ski all the trails, and will also find three all-level terrain parks which include three half-pipes and a quarter-pipe. This is a great resort for boarders of all standards - with some great freestyle available.
Off the slopes
The Mammoth ski resort offers plenty of accommodation, spreading out around the base of the mountain. In addition, the new Village at Mammoth provides skiers with direct access to the mountain, plus a great selection of bars, restaurants and nightclubs to offer a lively après-ski scene. There's accommodation and restaurants to meet all price ranges and tastes, plus amenities such as childcare and medical facilities.
