Off the slopes
One of Switzerland's most famous and popular ski resorts, Verbier is a stylish and cosmopolitan place. There are over 15,000 guest beds with choices to suit all tastes, and the restaurants reflect similar choices - you will find Swiss and international cuisine, fast food and gourmet options. After dark the choices include a selection of lively bars and clubs, but also classical music performances in the local concert hall. You can also enjoy mountaineering, hiking, torchlight descents or hang-gliding. Great for families or couples.
WE LIKE
- Extensive, challenging slopes with a lot of off-piste and long bump runs
- Upper slopes offer a real high-mountain feel plus great views
- Pleasant, animated village in a sunny, panoramic setting
|
WE DON'T LIKE
- Some overcrowded pistes and areas
- The 4 Valleys network is much less wonderful than it looks on paper
- Some long walks/rides to lifts
