Off the slopes
The après ski scene in Sierra Nevada is excellent, and offers a genuine insight into Spanish and more specifically, Andalucian culture. There are plenty of tapas bars and restaurants, and when you've eaten your fill, maybe it'll be time to unleash the tourist in you. Trips to Granada and the famed Alhambra Palace are very popular and easily bookable in the resort.
WE LIKE
- Big vertical drop with high altitude to guarantee the snow!
- Excellent range of slopes and runs for all levels - shame there's not more off-piste though
- A great place for après ski and relaxing off the slopes you also get the excellent cuisine
|
WE DON'T LIKE
- Not the best resort for expert skiers and boarders
- A full week here might be a bit limiting for most
- Gets really crowded on the weekends with locals flocking to the slopes
