Ski Baqueira-Beret for a less travelled and more exclusive ski holiday. A perfect location in the Pyrenees for skiers of all skill levels, there's options both on and off the slopes. A classy ski resort and town extending through 4 valleys.
Where
If you ski Baqueira-Beret you have the valleys of Baqueira, Beret, Bonaigua and Pallars and you're located in the Spanish heart of the Pyrenees Mountains. A bit of an exclusive ski resort, it's a hidden spot of pleasure for avid skiers and boarders. Due to its location in the valley there are plenty of scenic views to keep you visually entertained as you glide down the flawless slopes. Access is from Toulouse airpot, but you will need to rent a car to get the most out of the location.
On the slopes
Baqueira ski resort has a total of 68 slopes that provide challenges for skiers of all levels appropriately. Ripe with golden glides for every skier and snowboarder, there's approximately 104km of skiing areas with a top lift of 2510m and a vertical drop of about 1410m.
However, due to the location snow is not always present at the end of the winter leading to a short season so if planning your holiday in advance you want to make sure to choose early winter months for your trip. Also, nighttime skiing is not available in the resort, so if this is your pleasure it may not be the best location.
Off the slopes
While nighttime skiing may not be available when you ski here, there's plenty of ways to spend your time that may stop you from even noticing this fact. After a long day on the slopes many people enjoy visiting the classy area bars and restaurants in Baqueira-Beret where drinks are inexpensive and menus are expansive. Also, for those who enjoy nightlife the Pacha nightclub is where the locals and tourists tend flock towards for an exciting end to a day on the slopes if you have the any energy reserves left. There are also 16 cafes and restaurants situated throughout the ski resort slopes so that you can sit down for a break and take in the immense view from a comfortable, chocolate sipping, position.
