Where
The Bohinj ski resort is located high up in the Julian Alps and is strategically located in the middle of the Triglav National Park which makes it convenient to also visit and ski the slopes at the neighbouring Kobla and Vogel ski resorts. Access is via Ljubljana Airport which is around 2 hours away from the resort, but it is also reachable by train if you are willing to travel for a longer period of time in exchange for a lower cost.
On the slopes
There is plenty to do when you ski Bohinj as the resort itself has over 58kms of pistes with a run of 6km for those who want to get the most out of their downhill experience. Since the resort shares the trails of Kobla and Vogel there are plenty of slopes for all skiing levels. For skiing and snowboarding beginners the ski resort accesses the Kobla region which is predominantly for experts and advanced skiers with a few beginner trails.
Conversely, the Vogel region of the Bohinj ski resort offers mostly beginners paths but has a few scattered paths for other skill levels. For this reason many people enjoy skiing here since there is something for everyone and the area is well connected and easily travelled due to a wide variety of lifts and cable cars that link the trails. Additionally, snowboarders are welcome on the trails as well as those who are looking for a great cross country experience as there are also 21kms of cross country trails.

Off the slopes
Due to the fact that the Bohinj ski resort is located in the Triglav National Park and around Lake Bohinj there are plenty of other outdoor activities to participate in for those who want to get off the slopes and explore nature. The area offers waterfall ice-climbing, parasailing, indoor swimming, hiking trails, and indoor swimming. For those who want to get out on the town the villages around the resort are brimming with restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and plenty of Slovenian taverns if you want a taste of the native after hours scene.
