On the slopes

If you choose to ski Gålå, there's 15 slopes that are well dispersed across the ski resort and it's an excellent place for beginners and intermediate skiers with six and five runs for each respectively. With a few expert runs for highly skilled skiers the Gålå resort is an excellent place to refine the sport as there are challenges and plenty of learning slopes as well.

There are also four children's runs for your kids and ski instructors who are fluent in English to aid in the learning process who teach skiing and snowboarding. Seven lifts make it easy to navigate throughout the slopes. Snowboarders and skiers looking for a challenge also enjoy the terrain park and nighttime skiing is available on five slopes so that your day never has to end. Additionally you may enjoy the cross country trails across the Gålå ski resort area that total up to 210km.

Off the slopes

There are plenty of places to stay and many venues to relax at when you take a Gålå ski resort holiday as the local pubs, bars, and cafes are all heavily visited on the weekends. With accommodations from cabins to hotels with ski in access you can choose what best fits your holiday needs.

Even though the slopes offer the scenic view of Jotunheimen you may want to take a look away from the crystal ski and try something else on holiday. This is why this resort also offers many activities daily for all ages to participate in including Frisbee golf, snowshoe tours, ice fishing, tobogganing, snow rafting, and ice skating.

WE LIKE

  • Great for families - the resort has everything close to hand
  • Best slopes are for beginners and intermediate skiers and boarders
  • SKi-in and ski-out resort with great facilities

WE DON'T LIKE

  • The weather can drop dramatically especially with the wind chill
  • Very limited skiing and boarding for advanced and experts
  • Not a big party resort - but this suits the family atmosphere
