Ski Resorts in Liechtenstein

The tiny principality of Liechtenstein is bordered by both Switzerland and Austria. It is also the only country to lie completely within the Alps. It covers an area of only 62 sq miles and has a population of around 35,000. The biggest town is Schaan and the Capital is Vaduz. It is the smallest, yet richest, German speaking country in the World. The expression 'small but perfectly formed' certainly applies to Liechtenstein.

Due to its location and mountainous terrain it is ideal as a winter sports destination. Due to its size it has long been thought of as a very exclusive ski destination, but there is something here for everyone. Check out our ski reviews to find out more.

Getting Here

The closest airport  is Friedrichshafen Airport on the shores of Lake Constance in Germany. Although the airport is closer than others,102 km, the choice of flights into the small airport is more limited than other larger airports.

The closest major airport is Zürich International Airport in the neighbouring country of Switzerland. Zurich is still only 132km away and you will have a greater choice of airlines.
