On the slopes

When you ski Sulden you open up the giant Ortler Skiarena lift pass area that covers 12 different ski areas including Trafoi, Watles and Pfelders. With it being a high altitude and having access to 265km of trails, there's plenty for all levels and abilities. Sulden is known as a family ski destination - especially as it offers 16 beginner and intermediate slopes with 11 lifts, all close to home. There's also an outstanding ski school for children and good group and private lessons available.

Ski area :

If you ski Sulden you are also in the ski region of Ortler Skiarena along with the following resorts; Sulden, Trafoi am Ortler, Val Senales .

Off the slopes

A small traditional village, ski holidays in Sulden offer plenty of accomoodation with 2000 beds available. There is plenty of entertainment and with 3 nightclubs, loads of bars and restaurants there's plenty of things to do when you've finished your days skiing and boarding. However, this is not a party town as such - so don't expect all night raves!

WE LIKE

  • Good spread of pistes on 3 sides of village in Ortler mountains
  • Good snow conditions throughout season due to altitude
  • Traditional alpine village with some ski in and ski out properties

WE DON'T LIKE

  • None of the 'big' airports within 2 hours - so check airlines for getting here before you book
  • At busy times - getting native English speaking instructor not always easy
  • Après-ski is a little quiet for some - but good for families and those not wanting a party town
