Ski Val Gardena (or Wolkenstein as it's marketed to the Germans) and you're located in the northern part of Italy amidst the peaks of the majestic Dolomites, in the winding Gardena Valley. You'll find over 115kms of well maintained piste to keep you busy and all levels of skiers are catered for. Access to this ski resort is straight-forward with Bolzano and Verona airports fairly close by, amonsgt others.

Ski Val Gardena and you will find the ski resort is suitable for beginners and intermediates, with almost 100 kms of blue and red runs. Ski holidays here actually offer something for everyone. With some great long runs - the longest is nine kilometres - this is a great spot for cruisers. Expert skiers will find 17.5kms of black runs, and lots of challenging off-piste options - hire a local guide to get the most out of these. There are also good facilities for snowboarders, and over 98kms of cross-country trails. Across the Dolomiti ski area you have an almost infinite number of runs and challenges to keep you more than busy for a week.

Off the slopes
Après ski in Val Gardena is lively, with a fantastic selection of restaurants and cafes both on and off the mountain. You can stick to your regular favourites (pizza, burgers, etc) or try some local cuisine. At night the cafés and bars come to life, with many places open until early the next day, and you'll also find some local culture on offer, such as folklore evenings. Other activities include curling, ice climbing, ice-skating, snowshoeing, swimming, paragliding, shooting, and horseback riding.
