.
Off the slopes
With over 60 restaurants between the three villages you'll find something to suit every taste in the Tignes ski resort. The best restaurant in the area is considered to be Le Lac at The Hotel L'Arbina, while La C?te de Boeuf is for those who worship meat! Daffy's Café has good Tex-Mex, while La Pizzéria 2000 serves not only pizza, but also local dishes such as fondue and raclette. When your meal is over, there are plenty of bars to keep you busy.
WE LIKE
- Good snow guaranteed for a long season - one of the best Alpine bet
- One of the best areas in the world for lift-served off-piste runs
- Huge amount of varied terrain, with swift access to Val d'Isere
|
WE DON'T LIKE
- Resort architecture awful - not to everyone's taste for an Alpine getaway
- Bleak, treeless setting with many lifts prone to closure by storms
- Limited beginners areas and not a lot for non-skiers
