Off the slopes
This charming, traditional ski resort village has attractive wooden ski chalets and a baroque church, and you can still buy local farmhouse cheese and fresh milk by the pail. There are a number of local restaurants serving both local and international food, while the après ski centres around the local bars. Away from the slopes you can try cross country skiing (there are 28kms of marked out pistes in the valley), walking trails, snow shoeing, and dog sledding. Nightlife is ok - but nothing to write home about - which is great for families or people wanting a quieter holiday.
WE LIKE
- Some great runs close to home - especially for intermediate skiers and boarders
- The fast lift system gets you into the vast Trois Vallees quickly
- Traditional and charming mountain village in the 3 Vallées
|
WE DON'T LIKE
- The telecabin gets really busy in the morning rush and can delay your day by up to an hour
- Unfortunately the lower altitude does sometimes mean the snow conditions suffer
- Almost no party / nightlife in the resort
