On the slopes

Who will enjoy it if you choose to ski Peisey-Vallandry? Just about everyone! There are great choices here for expert skiers, snowboarders and those who like to go off-piste all close to the resort. However, you can also head up into Les Arcs or to take the link and explore La Plagne too. Families will enjoy the wide groomed slopes and the value for money, not to mention some well recommended ski schools.

The Paridiski cable car and the Vanoise Express will whisk you up into the heart of the Paridiski area and up to the highest peak of 3226m - there's always good snow somewhere on the mountain. A particular favorite are the cruisy blues and reds including the long Aigle that goes from the L'Ours chair all the way back to resort at the end of the day. This is also a resort and ski area that has amazing off piste opportunities if that's you thing - including some heliskiing over in Italy close by.

Ski area :

If you ski Peisey Vallandry you are also in the ski region of Paradiski along with the following resorts; Belle plagne, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry .

Off the slopes

The Peisey-Vallandry area is comprised of two villages with a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops - the après ski is quiet, so this resort is more suited to families. What it does have is a traditional village ambiance, with more cows than people most of the year! Accommodation includes chalets, low-rise apartments, and a couple of hotels. If you do like the nightlife, the Mont Blanc bar at the Grizzly chair is recommended for apr&eagrave;s-ski - but this is not a massive party town by Alps standards.

WE LIKE

  • Area close to the resort offers excellent pistes for Intermediates
  • The tree-lined runs are great - especially as they lead back to the resort
  • Being at the centre of the Paradiski ski area you have an amazing range of slopes for all abilities and levels

WE DON'T LIKE

  • Nursery slopes are not the best, a little steep in places and it's at the top of the mountain not near the resort
  • Very little apres-ski or nightlife in the resort
  • Quite expensive - especially for the Paradiski pass if you are not going to use it fully
