On the slopes
Located beneath 2680m Le Chalvet, ski Montgenèvre ski resort offer runs for all standards leading right into the village and across the border to Claviere, with snow boarders enjoying a terrain park with a half-pipe in the Gondrans area. Across the road you'll find direct access towards the Monti della Luna and the long runs to Cesana Torinese. Snow-cannons were added for the Turin Olympics, so coverage is consistent.

Off the slopes
Montgenèvre is a lovely old village, with a good range of restaurants offering both local specialities and international dishes. Although the après-ski is not extensive, there are several good bars and a couple of discos. The main draw is the access to the Milky Way, and the lower costs once you cross the border into Italy - it's well worth skiing across the border for lunch, or taking a drive in the evening.
