As ski areas go, Évasion Mont Blanc is a pretty impressive one. Situated in the Mont Blanc/Northern Alps area, the 450km of pistes in this region are surrounded by some 8 villages and towns. Megeve and Saint Gervais have a linked ski area, and there's easy access to the skiing around Les Contamines, Combloux, Le Giettaz and St Jean d'Aulps which make up the rest of Évasion Mont Blanc.
The 450km of pistes in this large region are a mix of wide open spaces, tree lined runs, and cross country trails. Whichever part of the region you decide to visit, expect to find a good range of runs for all ability levels, including some famous ones. For example, Les Houches is home to World Cup downhill run, 'Kandahar'. The appropriate ski passes will give you access to skiing in the whole of Évasion Mont Blanc. Some parts of the region like St Gervais and Megeve are connected via a lift system, while the ski area in Les Houches can be accessed via the Mont Blanc Tramway, and ski buses will take you to Les Contamines.
Off piste there are facilities for snowboarders, an Olympic size ice rink for skating and ice hockey, and several thermal spa/wellness centres. The après ski scene is mixed, depending on where you stay, and could be quiet and traditional or lively and modern. All in all évasion Mont Blanc is a region full of choice and variety, and with some parts just 50 minutes from Geneva airport, it's easily accessible too. Ski here and you won't be disappointed.
