Ski Courchevel 1300 Le Praz in France for access to the massive slopes of Les Trois Vallées, one of the world's biggest ski areas. Courcheval 1300 however still has the charm of a small mountain village. There's great skiing and snowboarding in France - so why wait?

Where?

Ski Courchevel 1300 Le Praz and enjoy some of the best skiing in Europe - Courchevel, along with Meribel and Val Thorens, comprise the three main ski resorts of Les Trois Vallèes, one of the largest ski areas in the world. Access is easy via the airports at Chambéry, Lyon or Geneva.

On the slopes

As it's part of a massive ski area, ski holidays in Courchevel 1300 Le Praz offer an unlimited variety of skiing. From the village there's good access to Courchevel 1850 and the rest of the Three Valley ski area via a gondola that goes directly up into 1850. You can ski right into the village, but the low altitude means that snow conditions on these slopes are often poor. Snowboarders will find good options including a terrain park.

Ski area

If you Ski Courchevel 1300 Le Praz you are also in the ski region of Les Trois Vallèes.

Off the slopes

The Courchevel ski resort is set amidst wooded slopes in the traditional village of Le Praz. It is ideal for a family holiday, with good accommodation, and some of the best restaurants in the area. Après-ski can be somewhat quiet, and centres around the local bars in Le Praz. There are some shops, but for non-skiers there's little to do. However, with both ski schools and crèche operating out of the village, families will find plenty to keep the children busy.

WE LIKE

  • Extensive, varied local terrain to suit everyone from beginners to experts - plus the rest of the Three Valleys is on hand.
  • Ski area is well laid out and easy to follow. Village still has a certain amount of charm when compared to 1850.
  • Impressive lift system, piste maintenance and snowmaking. Cheaper accommodation on offer here than elsewhere in Courcheval.

WE DON'T LIKE

  • Still an expensive resort to stay and holiday in compared to elsewhere outside the Three Valleys.
  • Could be considered poor relation to other Courchevel resorts.
  • Slopes get very busy here at peak times of the season.
