On the slopes
When you ski Les Houches you hould know that the ski area is best for intermediate skiers as there are 12 slopes that present a moderate challenge for skiers and snowboarders out of the 55km piste area. Beginners will also enjoy the five beginner slopes and advanced skiers will enjoy taking on the legendary Le Verte slope that annually hosts one of the world's expert downhill races.
For people seeking more of a skiing challenge there is a cable car that for a small fee will carry skiers over to the many slopes of the Chamonix ski resort down the road about 6km or you can drive over to the area from the resort. Skiers and snowboarders also enjoy the snow park and night skiing that is often described as majestic with the moonlight bouncing off of the well powdered mountains. Additionally, there are three nursery areas for those who may want to take advantage of the ski instructors to perfect their art.

For those who want après ski activities the lively village of Chamonix is directly down the road and is easily reached via the cable car or by hiring a car offering plenty of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.
