On the slopes
If you choose to ski Gourette and there will be 21 lifts serving 31km of downhill piste on hand. This ski resort lies at 1350m, with the highest slope at 2400. With a good amount of the skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally good. Beginners will feel particularly at home, with half the pistes for learners. There are also 20km of cross-country trails.
Off the slopes
Gourette is a small ski resort, but there are still 17 restaurants and a nightclub, plenty to keep you busy until early in the morning. For those who find the disco not to their tastes, there is a casino just 8km away which also has a good restaurant. There is also some good shopping in town, and walkers will enjoy hiking along the river valleys.
