A good skiing holiday is determined most of all by the quality of the skiing - and when you ski Courchevel 1650 you won't be disappointed. The skiing and snowboarding is simply spectacular, with excellent wide pistes, stunning views, and some of Europe's steepest couloirs for you to power down. For beginners there are dozens of ski schools to choose from, but be sure to go with one of the established ones, not the black market cowboys.

Off the slopes
Courchevel 1650 ski resort has a more down to earth character than 1850, and won't feel crowded even in peak season. It has a good selection of quietly situated chalets to choose from, and its own selection of restaurants and bars - hot spots include the Bubble Bar and Space Bar. There's a cinema, bowling and an indoor pool in town, and if you fancy a night out, it's only a short bus journey from Courchevel 1850.
