Ski Jasper Marmot Basin and marvel in one of Canada's most beautiful & idyllic ski resorts. With a small skiing and snowboarding area there's over 80km of skiing amongst trees, lakes and glaciers - real charm!
Where
Ski Jasper Marmot Basin in Canada (Alberta) and you're in Canada's most northerly resort. International ski flights come into Edmonton and it's then a 350km drive to the town for your ski holidays to start. There's no accommodation on the pistes, hence the 20 min resort to slope transfer times. The mountains all around provide good skiing as well as boarding, but ski holidays in Jasper are more about being in the wilderness and getting away from the rowdy mainstream resorts.

Off the slopes
Some great bars and restaurants in this rustic town will make your ski holiday complete. Add to that a varied snow activity list that includes snow-mobiling, toboganning, ice skating and dog sledding. For real non-skiers, you have a train journey into the Rockies on your doorstep - plus 5 star hotels with spas ready to accomodate you.
As well as good bars and restaurants, this is a good family-friendly resort that offers a lot of other activities to vary your time here with children. WE LIKE
- Unpretentious ski resort with plenty of skiing & boarding for all
- Slopes are well maintained and offer challenges for all skill levels as well as a chance to learn how to ski
- You can ski right to the car park at the foot of the slopes
|
WE DON'T LIKE
- A quite expensive resort compared to some others
- Being so northerly - can be bitterly cold when wind gets up
- No ski-in ski-out as the rustic charms of Jasper village are about 20 minutes away
