Other Resorts

Bulgaria is becoming an increasingly popular place to ski. It offers great value ski holidays, fairly reliable snow and has recently seen a high degree of investment in its skiing infrastructure.

In Bulgaria you have three good sizes ski resorts to choose from-Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo. In addition there are a number of smaller resorts like Chepelare and Vitosha. Bansko has the most up to date facilities and Borovets is the biggest and oldest resort in Bulgaria.

You wont find the large interlinked ski areas here as you do in say Austria or France. These type of ski areas do have their advantages. The fact that you can buy a ski area lift pass and have a huge number of slopes to choose from each day is great. Bulgaria on the other hand will offer you modern resorts, great ski schools and snow!

How To Choose a Ski Area

If you do have a choice of stand alone ski resort or a resort that sits within a ski area do think long and hard about what you need. A large ski area may sound great but there is no point spending money on a ski area lift pass if in reality you will never leave the resort you are based in. Check our website for information about the country, ski areas and ski resorts before you make that final decision.
