One such country is Bosnia, with reliable snow, cheap passes and modern facilities, the rest of Europe are quickly catching on to what Bosnia has to offer.
There are 40km of excellent slopes within a 30 minute drive of Sarajevo, so a winter break in Bosnia can encompass both great skiing and a chance to see some of this beautiful country. There are slopes here dating back to when the winter Olympics were held in Sarajevo in 1984, so if you are a skiing enthusiast you are getting the chance to go down the slopes that were graced by Olympic champions.
