On the slopes

With access to the 250km of slopes of the 'Ski Welt' circuit, ski Westendorf for an amazing variety of terrain for skiers and boarders. Beginners and intermediate needing instruction will find three ski schools to choose from, and plenty of slopes allowing them to make steady progress. Advanced skiers might want to head off-piste to find the challenges they crave. Skiing & snowboarding here really is a great experience thanks to the tree-lined slopes.

Ski area :

If you ski Westendorf you are also in the ski region of SkiWelt along with the following resorts; Brixen im Thale, Ellmau, Going, Hopfgarten, Kelchsau, Kirchberg in Tirol, Scheffau, Söll, Westendorf .

Off the slopes

Almost untouched by development, there is a range of traditional accommodation to suit every taste and budget. Après ski there's a great selection of bars, cafés and restaurants including Gerry's Inn, the Village Pub, and live music at the Mesnerkeller. Other activities to try include sleigh rides, ice-skating, bowling, and paragliding, while Kitzbühel and Salzburg is close enough for day trips.

RESORT GOOD POINTS

  • Charming traditional village
  • Access (via short bus-rides) to the extensive SkiWelt circuit, and now to Kitzb?hel?s slopes
  • Jolly if rather limited apr?s-ski scene

RESORT BAD POINTS

  • Local slopes are limited in extent, and mainly of genuine red gradient
  • Slopes are at low altitude, and snow quality can suffer
