With two glaciers close by, ski Sölden for snow-sure conditions and some great skiing and snowboarding in Austria. As with many Austrian ski resorts, there's fantastic après-ski after long days on the slopes.

A snow-sure destination with extensive pistes for all levels, ski Sölden for over 150km of pure pleasure. With glacial slopes providing a long season, this resort is popular from November through May. You can reach it easily by flying into Munich and taking a train and bus to the resort.

On the slopes
Ski holidays in Sölden run the full season, with 2 glacier ski areas at Rettenbach & Tiefenbach and 3 mountains higher than 3,000 meters which are accessible by lifts or gondolas. In addition, extensive snow making systems covering all slopes down to 2,200m. Giggijoch is the destination for beginners, while more advanced skiers should head for Gaislachkogl peak - at 3,058m it has great snow, and a fantastic variety of off-piste challenges.

Off the slopes
Sölden has everything you need to enjoy your holiday - over 20 huts and mountain restaurants to fuel your days on the slopes, including rustic mountain huts and umbrella bars for sunny days. In town the après-ski is lively, with plenty of bars and clubs open till late. Favourites Almrausch, Schirmbar, and Harley's Rock Bar. Away from the slopes you can enjoy sleigh rides, ice skating, curling, and over 30km of cleared walking trails.
