On the slopes
Ski Serfaus this winter and there's 71 different pistes providing over 180 kms of good skiing and snowboarding. The pistest are divided between intermediate and advanced quite nicely but there's very few 'beginner slopes' and not too much expert on piste either. Off piste opportunities are abound throughout the ski area, so that makes up for those who love powder and off piste action. Boarders and freestyle skiers will find a snow park with half pipe to keep them happy, and for families there is a ski school and a crèche. If you prefer cross country, ther's a lot of really well maintained tracks totalling so 132km of trails for those who prefer their skiing to be a little slower.

WE LIKE
- Traditional Austrian village in the Alps with a car free centre
- Immaculate slopes for all levels - especially intermediates
- Some good traditional nightlife - not too rowdy though
|
WE DON'T LIKE
- Real beginners not really catered for in the immediate area, but ok in the larger ski area
- If it's nightlife you're after - this is not the place for you
- Cheap airports are quite a haul for transfer, but Innsbruck is close
