On the slopes

If you ski Kelchsau, the best thing is you almost never have lift queues - there are 90 lifts serving 101 hectares of skiable terrain, with a total vertical drop of 920m. Beginners will find no runs here for them though. Runs are divided up predominantly between the Intermediate and Advanced with some expert runs also. There are eight black runs for advanced skiers to enjoy, including the popular run from the top of the Höhe Salve above Söll down through the Leukenwald. If you enjoy cross country skiing you will find over thirty kilometres of cross-country skiing tracks to enjoy locally, and over 170km in the surrounding "Wilder Kaiser-Brixental" region.

Ski area :

If you ski Kelchsau you are also in the ski region of SkiWelt along with the following resorts; Brixen im Thale, Ellmau, Going, Hopfgarten, Kelchsau, Kirchberg in Tirol, Scheffau, Söll, Westendorf .

Off the slopes

The village of Kelchsau offers a small quiet village that's in the heart of the Austrian Alps. Amongst the trees and mountains, there's a few good bars and restaurants, but it's not a rowdy après-ski scene by any means. As well as a few winter sports, you also have the town of Hopfgarten a few kms away.
