With stunning views and a good nursery slope, ski Going and get great pistes and conditions for beginners and intermediates in particular. Going ski resort sits at one end of 250km Ski Welt circuit, a tour of 11 villages that extends all the way to Westendorf at the other end. Access is easy via Innsbruck and Salzburg airports in particular.

On the slopes

You'll find 20 pistes, covering 52km, in Going ski resort. The slopes rise from 820m to 1550m, offering a variety for all levels of skier. The real prize, however, is access to the 250km Ski Welt circuit. Mostly easy cruising above and below the tree line, this route allows you to ski from village to village through some stunning scenery. The skiing and snowboarding in this area is excellent with good snow history too.

Off the slopes

A quite village, the biggest luxury is the five-star Hotel Stanglwirt, which has a Lipizzaner riding school. There's a range of other, less expensive accommodation, and enough bars and restaurants to provide a pleasantly relaxing après ski experience. Bars and restauranst really instill a flavour of the Austrian Alps and we recommend you join in the drinking and eating every night!
