Located in the centre of Carinthia and part of the Alps, ski Gerlitzen for some amazing views of the Austrian Lakeland. It is the largest part of the 'Villach ski mountains.' The Gerlitzen ski resort can be reached via a number of airports, with Klagenfurt Airport around 45 mins away along the A10 or A11 autobahns.

On the slopes
With 26km of pistes and 12 lifts the Gerlitzen ski resort is the largest of the resorts around the city of Carinthia offering the widest array of slopes to beginners and intermediates which has earned it the reputation as a family friendly ski resort. The slopes are mostly wide, open, and carefully groomed so that all levels can enjoy the ski holiday adventure.
The area is easy to navigate and with an altitude of 2000m the slopes of Gerlitzen offer a fine view for those who visit during the ski season which is December thru April. For those who like a challenge the Klostere slope offers a 5.4km piste with a 1400m vertical which snowboarders enjoy travelling as well. Families may also enjoy sending their children to the ski school which will supervise and teach children to ski and play in the snow at as young as 18 months. There is also 26kms of cross country trails for those who want to try.
