On the slopes
Ski Fiss and get something for everyone - boarders will find 2 snow parks and a half-pipe, while an analysis of the gradings show that excluding the experts, this is a balanced ski resort. There are other advantages - with high altitude piste and plenty of snow cannons (220) you are assured of snow whatever the weather, and the 53 ski lifts can uplift 60,000 skiers per hour, so you'll never have to wait in line for long.
Ski area :
If you ski Fiss, you are also in the ski region of Ski Dimension along with the following resorts; Fiss, Serfaus
.
Off the slopes
This is a small traditional Austrian village that shares its ski area with Ladis and Serfaus. Much of the old Fiss village centre has been retained, so you'll find plenty of 16th and 17th century houses, with stone walls, arched doorways and overhanging gabled roofs. There are over 20 restaurants and cafés serving traditional food and international favourites, and a friendly, if somewhat quiet, après-ski scene.
RESORT GOOD POINTS
- Access to a large and varied ski area with Ladis & Serfaus close by
- Night skiing is possible - if you dare!
- Small & traditional Austrian village - which also means traditional après-ski
|
RESORT BAD POINTS
- Not a masive drinking and boozy nightlife ski resort
- Not part of one of the big ski areas - but that has it advantages too
- Very little else to say that's negative really
