Consider the skiing area of Ski Circus in order to ski through one of the best linked ski systems in Austria. If you visit 'Ski Circus' this ski season you are based South of Salzburg airport in the Glemm Valley, and Ski Circus comprises the main resorts of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, and nearby Leogang.
Although at a lower altitude than some ski areas, Ski Circus does have a mixture of North facing snow assured runs, and sunnier South facing slopes, which have excellent snow making facilities. There are 200km of runs on a variety of terrain, linked by 55 lifts.
Saalbach and Hinterglemm both have ski schools and nursery slopes, and plenty of blue runs in Ski Circus, though some can be challenging. Intermediate skiers are best catered for in Ski Circus, with a variety of blue and red runs across the main villages, though there are some challenging black runs. The more adventurous skiers can also hire a guide to help them explore the off piste skiing available.
Ski Circus also has excellent snowboarding facilties, and a choice of après ski, from the low key in Hinterglemm, to the lively in Saalbach, which also has many boutiques and designer ski wear outlets. If all that doesn't whet your appetite, there are also many bars, cafes, and restaurants both up the mountain, and in the valley.
Last but by no means least, the flight information: Flights arrive in Saltzburg throughout the season, from over 10 U.K airports, and transfer time to this ski region is approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. Enjoy your holiday!
