The extensive Gasteinertal / ski Amadé ski area is one of the largest in Austria, meaning that Austria ski resorts like Bad Hofgastein offer you access to over 250 Km of slopes. There's 44 lifts in this area, serving miles of intermediate slopes - this area is perfect for those who enjoy long distance cruising. It's not ideal for novices, but advanced skiers will enjoy the off-piste runs at Sportgastein and Graukogel. For boarders there's a snow park and half-pipe, but a lot of draglifts.

Bad Hofgastein ski resort is a quiet one in general, but still offers over 35 restaurants, plus a lively après-ski. You'll also find a great variety of activities if you fancy a day way from the slopes, including ice skating, curling, tobogganing, sleigh rides, ice climbing, and snow shoe walking.
