On the slopes
Skiers and boarders will find miles of well groomed pistes to enjoy when they ski Alpendorf. Skiing and snowboarding holidays in Austria offer beginners specially landscaped areas with slow finishes, while more advanced Skiers will enjoy the challenge of world cup endurance runs, steep mogul fields, slalom race runs and virgin powder. Snowboarders will love the ski resorts' Snow Park, with its half-pipes, fun boxes, gap jumps, and rails, while if you fancy a change of pace there is excellent cross country skiing.

Off the slopes
Away from the slopes, there's a wide range of accommodation available, including traditional guesthouses in the heart of St Johann, 2km from the ski slopes, or numerous family friendly guesthouses in the small mountain villages dotted around the resort. Popular local restaurants include Hattau in the town of Wargran, Onkel Tom's Hutte, or the popular Buchau Hutte. Nearby Bad Gastein is Austria's most famous spa town, with plenty of activities including thermal baths, tobogganing, and some great shopping.
