Half term ski holidays

One of the most popular breaks, half term ski holidays are probably the busiest time in European resorts as all schools break up over a two or three week period. Half term ski holidays (UK schools) also usually coincide with European school breaks so you will find the pistes quite busy.

Varying half terms mean that there's often a 3 or even 4 week period across which flights will be busy, pistes will be more crowded than usual and prices for chalets, hotels and other accommodation will be much higher than surrounding weeks. So for half term ski holidays that will ensure you have a great time, follow the three points below, then check out the ski resorts that we recommend :

  1. Book as early as possible to get best choice and bag early bird savings from some tour operators

  2. Once you make the decision to go, don't faff! Be decisive and book - remember that you usually only have to pay 10% deposit plus you get that early bird discount

  3. Make sure you can get your children into Ski Schools before you book - ie check availability!
